I’ve lived in Northern Ireland for many years but I’m of Scots/English descent. In my early years, I worked in the ceramics industry and hospitality in my home county of Staffordshire. In 1995 I left England and set up home in County Armagh where I worked to support the family business. Later, after raising my family, I returned to University to retrain and to attain degrees in both counselling and psychology.
In 2011 my first book was published, The Sands of Carsaig. Over the next few years I published several more, which you can find further information about in the My Books section of this website. During this time of embracing my need to be creative, I also renewed my interest in art and became an established artist, selling works that were purchased by both local and international buyers.
For a few years, creativity took a more reduced role whilst I returned to University. But once again, I’m putting pen to paper, figuratively if you will, since this is the digital age, and hope to have something published again soon.
Be sure to look out for updates.
