Bloody Sunday

They crawled on their bellies,

Bullets over head.

To try and help the victims,

Who unstoppably bled.

Boys, injured, wounded,

Children, like yours and mine.

Thrown about like they were nothing,

Not worth the British time.

They were here to fight an evil

But what they became was far far worse

What country claims a people,

Then feeds its children to the hearse?

Freedom of speech is a human right.

To protest peacefully no crime at all.

But to shoot unarmed civilians

Makes you the most inhumane of all.

Dedicated to those killed and injured during the bloody Sunday massacre 50 years ago
